The architecture often stays powerless in front of the sense of smell and the contemporary architecture
stands without any fragrances. Why are we never talking about the smell of the places ? The architect learns to be familiar with the texture of each materials, to consider the sound universe of a space but never its olfactory dimension. However, the smell brings us to such a lot of worlds. Our stories are full of heady frangrances cities. Thus, what is the potential of the olfaction in terms of architectural atmospheres ?
The aim of this thesis is to break this olfactory silence and to give our fifth sense back to our places.

Books of the diploma Osmē
Print in École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris – June 2018

These books are linked with different parts of the diploma Osmē. The first one, Jus, is related to the creation
of fragrances with the help of the Flav Lab of Toulouse. It encompasses all the stages that has led to our
two smells. The second book M.A.C. is about the alternative and complementary medicines in oposition to
the allopathic or traditional medicines. The goal here is to try to understand how a new vision of the concept
of health can help us to increase welfare in a neighbourhood. Finally, the last book Osmē is an architectural study of the building in which the diploma project will takes place in.
