Thermoformed linen and metal lamp and bedside table
With : Sarah Belfert and Léa Grandi – 2015

Throughout the light, the materials more or less raw and the touch, we want to put forward a night set centered around the rite of the sleep. This object is made of living materials and illustrates various peculiarities of the linen: soft/hard, supple/stiff, transparent/opaque. The linen on the bowl allows us by thermoforming to obtain at the same time a stiff and soft shell while for the lamp, the linen fibers sieve and texture the light.
The state of sleep is a state of half-consciousness between the dream and the reality. Therefore, objects near our bed are often scattered and fall of night tables when we grope to look for them. Midnight Blue consists of a bowl ready to welcome objects surrounding our bed, without them falling on the ground, and of a night light spreading a sweet midnight blue light.
