Our starting point was to integrate the aviary into our path in the zoo where the visitor is following the water throughout his tour. The aviary lies naturally between the two rivers. This V shape offers an alternative
of a winding path above the water far from the general idea of a straight-lined aviary. The structure is similar to the backbone of a house with a gable roof. The visitor enters the aviary by a 2.5 meter high-level walkway which slowly goes down through the aviary. The latter with 8 meter high-level at the entrance
and the exit increases in the center with a peak of 15 meters. Metal wires are used both for a structure purpose
and for the birds to perch on its.
